BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team finished 11th at the Bowdoin Invitational hosted by the Bears over the weekend.
The Hawks placed tied for 11th with a 619 (+43) while shooting 19 over par and 24 over par on each respective day. Amherst and Williams tied for the top spot, with both teams finishing 17 over par for the tournament.
Ryan Dacey (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed tied for 17th individually, finishing with a 75 (+3) on both days of the tournament, for a total of 150 (+6) for the weekend. Will Lafrance (Westport, Mass.) placed seven over par after shooting 74 (+2) on the second day of competition, finishing tied for 22nd.
Sammy Johnson (West Springfield, Mass.) added a 157 (+13) for the weekend, placing tied for 52nd. Josh Peterson (Goffstown, N.H.) added a 161 (+17), and Dante Hardt (Orange, Conn.) finished with a 170 (+26).
Roger Williams will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday Oct. 5 for the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship hosted by the University of Hartford at Trumble Brook Country Club.
