Track & Field: Three Hawks Selected to Compete at NCAA Division III National Championships

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University Men's and Women's Track & Field programs will send three student-athletes to the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, as the NCAA announced the final championship field.

Senior Nathan Tassey earned two NCAA Championship selections for the Hawks, qualifying in both the men's 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. Tassey enters the championship field ranked 11th nationally in the 5,000 meters with a season-best time of 14:04.40, recorded at The F.I.R.E. Meet at Williams on May 8. He also ranks 10th nationally in the 10,000 meters following his time of 29:34.42 at the Silfen Invitational on April 10. This will be Tassey's third time in the National Championship Field on the track.

Senior Justin Dickson secured his first selection to the NCAA Championship in the men's decathlon after totaling 6,606 points at the Division III New England Championships. Dickson enters the NCAA Championship meet ranked 16th nationally in the event.

Sophomore Angela West earned her second career NCAA Outdoor Championship selection in the women's javelin. West qualified with a season-best throw of 41.75 meters (137'0") at the Corsair Classic Invitational on March 27, ranking 20th nationally entering the championship field.

The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place May 21-23 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis.
