BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team gave Eastern Nazarene College its first Commonwealth Coast Conference loss of the year, as the Hawks defeated the Lions 7-2.

The Hawks took two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles to earn the win. Jeff DeNunzio (Barrington, R.I.) and Spencer Withington (Plymouth, Mass.) netted the win at #2 double 8-0 over Eric Johnson (Kingston, Mass.) and Tim Luz (Cumberland, R.I.). DeNunzio would later win his #1 singles match 6-2, 6-1 against Brandon Lum (Great Neck, N.Y.) while Withington defeated Nick Thompson 6-1, 6-0 at #5 singles.

Jason Pacino (North Reading, Mass.) earned the Hawks' other double win, an 8-1 decision with Nicholas Hawvermale (Bethlehem, Conn.) against Ryan Robbins (Canyon Country, Calif.) and Nick Thompson (York, Pa.) at #3.  Taylor Webster (Bristol, Conn.) defeated Richard Crooks (Collegeville, Pa.) without dropping a game at #6 singles.

ENC's Austin Steelman (Darlington, Md.) had a hand in both of the Lions' wins, beating Kevin Erikson 6-2, 7-5 at #2 singles and pairing up with Lum for a 8-6 win over Erikson and Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) at #1 doubles.
