Endicott College Women's Volleyball Invitational Preview

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams women's volleyball team will be heading to the Endicott College Invitational in Beverly, Mass.  The Hawks are 0-3 on the season with losses to #1 Calvin, #20 Clarkson, and New York Region Finalist SUNY New-Paltz.  The Hawks return to the Endicott Invitational to defend their 2013 Championship.  The Hawks finished as the only undefeated team in the tournament last year.

On Friday, September 5 the Hawks will compete at 5:00 p.m.to take on the Violets of NYU. The New York University women's volleyball team is currently 3-1 with victories over St. John Fisher College, Babson College, and Union College and their only loss to North Central College.

At 7:00 p.m., the Hawks battle the Polar Bears of Bowdoin who were idle last week and will be opening their fall season. The Hawks and Bears met at the MIT Invitational last year with the Hawks taking a 3-0 decision.

On Saturday, September 6 the Hawks will square off with the Beavers of Babson College and the Kangaroos of SUNY-Canton at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. respectively. The Hawks and Beavers met last season at the RWU Invitational with RWU winning the match 3-0. As for the Kangaroos of SUNY-Canton they maintain a perfect record 3-0, after defeating SUNY-Postdam, Houghton College, and SUNY Institute of Technology in their own tournament last weekend.
