Volleyball falls on first day of UMass-Boston Invite

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in the opening night of the University of Massachusetts-Boston Invitational, falling to Augsburg and Bowdoin by 0-3 scores.
 
Against Augsburg, Meghan Smith (Blauvelt, N.Y.) led the Hawks with eight kills, while Molly Quility (Duxbury, Mass.) finished with two kills and one block. Nicole Weber (Poulsbo, Wash.) added 11 assists and six digs.
 
 Smith tallied nine kills for the Hawks in the second match of the evening against Bowdoin, while Kristen Boyer (Ephrata, Pa.) added seven kills and Qulity going for five. Josalyn Benson (Phoenix, Ariz.) notched 27 assists and six digs, while Maria Batas (Merrick, N.Y.) led RWU with 16 digs.
 
Roger Williams (14-10) looks to get back on track tomorrow against Clark and UMass-Boston.
