CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Roger Williams University Men's Polo team dropped a 10-23 contest to the University of Virginia.
 
In the first chukka, Pedro Cabrera (Santo Domingo, D.R.) put RWU up 2-0 before the Cavaliers answered with two goals of their own. Both teams would trade goals to end the first chukka tied at three.
 
The second period saw Daymar Rosser (Philadelphia, Pa.) score two of the first three goals for the Hawks. However, that would be all the damage they did, as Virginia outscored RWU 7-2 in the chukka, going into the third period with a 10-5 lead.
 
The Hawks' offense stalled in the third chukka, going scoreless while the Cavaliers hung 11 goals on RWU. RWU tried to rally with five goals in the final chukka but could not overcome the deficit.
 
Rosser finished with eight goals on the day while Cabrera had two.
