BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team posted a win for the fourth consecutive weekend in a row as part of a strong weekend on the water,
At the Boston University Team Race, the Hawks took the top spot out of the six teams at the regatta. The first day of action saw RWU begin with a 3-2 record in the first round robin, collecting wins over Bowdoin, Harvard, and Salve Regina. In the second round robin, Roger Williams improved with a 4-1 record, taking down Salve Regina, MIT, Bowdoin, and Boston University. On the second day of action, the Hawks set down all five teams in the field, going 5-0 in the final round robin. After posting an identical 12-3 overall record with Boston University, the Hawks took the tie-breaker via a 2-1 head-to-head record. Racing for the Hawks were Preston Duclos (Westport, Mass.), Kylie Freitas (Escondido, Calif.), Peter Neal (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), Rachel Holick (Lawrence, N.J.), Kelsey Shakin (Boston, Mass.), and Kristi Dolan (West Islip, N.Y.).
At the Friis Team Race, hosted by Roger Williams, ended runner-up in the regatta, going 11-3 and just missing out on the win by one race. Roger Williams began the regatta with a dominant performance, posting an 8-1 record with wins over Yale, Michigan, MIT, Eckerd, Dartmouth, Boston University, Brown, and Bowdoin. In the second round robin, RWU posted a 3-2 record, defeating Boston College, Brown, and MIT. On the water for the Hawks were

At the Central Series 2, hosted by Mass. Maritime, Roger Williams came in fifth place. Read and Darcy Lavoie took third place at A Division, come away with fifth place or better in five of the seven races on the day. They also added a win in the final race of the regatta. At B Division, Paul de Souza (Nassau, Bahamas) and Ariana Smaldone (Tiverton, R.I.) took sixth place as the put together four finishes in the top four in addition to a pair of runner-up finishes.
At the Admiral Moore Team Race, hosted by NY Maritime, RWU earned a sixth-place finish. The Hawks had a rough start in the opening round robin, going 2-5 with wins over Michigan and Virginia. The Hawks fared better in the second round robin, going 4-3 with wins over Fordham, Michigan, NY Maritime, and Virginia. However it was not enough to advance them to the final round of racing.
