BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team saw action in four regattas on the weekend, posting a pair of top-ten finishes.
 
At the Oberg Trophy, hosted by Northeastern, the Hawks earned a third-place finish. Daniel Petrovic (Tortola, BVI) and Hallie Repeta (Portland, Maine) finished in eighth place in A Division. They collected one win as part of their five top-six races. At B Division, Preston Duclos (Westport, Mass.) and Rachel Holick (Lawrence, N.J.) took third place as they finished eighth or better in nine of the ten races including two wins. The C Division boat of Peter Neal (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Kylie Freitas (Escondido, Calif.) placed fifth overall on the strength of seven top-seven races with one win and one runner-up result.
 
At the Thompson Trophy, hosted by Connecticut College, RWU finished in tenth place. Mackenzie Bryan (Christiansted, USVI), Jennifer Agell (Huntington, N.Y.), and Michael McBrien (East Patchogue, N.Y.) combined to place third in A Division. They earned seven top-five results including a win and a runner-up finish. At B Division, McBrien, Holick, and Conner Harding (Naples, Fla.) took 14^th place with two fifth-place races as part of their six top-ten results. Sailing at C Division were Spencer Cartwright (Nassau, Bahamas) and Emily Gildea (Palos Park, Ill.) who took 15^th place in the division with four top-ten finishes and a best of second place in the first race.
 
At the President's Trophy, hosted by Boston University, Roger Williams took 11^th place on the weekend. Due to weather, racing was canceled on Sunday and the teams were held to only six races total on Saturday. Kelsey Shakin (Boston, Mass.) and Kristi Dolan (West Islip, N.Y.) were able to finish sixth at A Division with five of the six races in the top nine. Janel DeCurtis (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Ariana Smaldone (Tiverton, R.I.) took 12^th place at B Division with three top-nine races.
 
At the Owen, Mosbacher, and Knapp Trophies, hosted by Kings Point, the Hawks finished placed 14^th. Alden Crowe (Summerland, Calif.) and Dane Pedersen (Chanhassen, Minn.) placed 15^th with a pair of third-place results. Henry Stames (Duxbury, Mass.) and Riley Read (Portland, Ore.) finished in 14^th place, earning one runner-up finish as part of their four top-ten races.
