BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University Wrestling team has moved to #18 in the national rankings, according to the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association National Poll.

The Hawks were previously ranked #13 in the previous poll, released just before the beginning of the New Year.

Roger Williams has stayed busy since the beginning of January. RWU competed last weekend at the NWCA National Duals, where the team went 2-2 in competition. The Hawks would then host the Scott Viera Open, where Travis Arata (Mahwah, N.J.) won the 174-pound weight class.

In the individual rankings, Taylor Shay (New Fairfield, Conn.) has moved up to #3 in the country in the 165-pound weight class, up three spots from his previous ranking.

Roger Williams will compete in the Plymouth State Invitational and at WPI in a tri-meet against WPI, Trinity, and RIT.
