WILKES-BARRE, Penn. – The Roger Williams University Wrestling team began their 2021-22 campaign with a fifth-place finish at the Ned McGinley Invitational hosted by King's College on Saturday. The Hawks had a strong showing in their first competition in 615 days,
Kyle Kaiser (Paramus, N.J.) took second place in the 133-pound weight class, leading a quartet of RWU wrestlers who finished in the top-three on the day.
Joining him in the top-three was
Ben Bariso (Butler, N.J.) in the 149-pound weight class,
Cole Shaughnessy (Fairfield, Conn.) in the 184 bracket, and
Spencer Fetrow (Holliston, Mass.) in 197.
