Hawk Talk Season 2, Episode 13: Hunter Goodrow (Wrestling And Men's Lacrosse)

This week on Hawk Talk, dual-sport athlete Hunter Goodrow (Hopkinton, Mass.), a senior on the Roger Williams University Wrestling and Men's Lacrosse teams joined host Bryce Johnson. This week, they discussed what it is like being a dual-sport athlete, the wrestling squad's busy weekend ahead, and the difference between wrestling and lacrosse.

Goodrow, a four-year member of the wrestling team competing primarily in the 165-pound weight class, he has tallied 24 wins in his career including four by way of a pin. As a freshman, he recorded six wins with 12 takedowns and 32 escapes for the Hawks before breaking out with a 17-16 record in his second season in Bristol. That season, he recorded a trio of pins and 13 dual points for RWU. Thus far this season, he has competed at two events for Roger Williams, earning one win thus far for RWU.  
 
He also enters his fourth season on the lacrosse team competing in 33 games with 20 starts. As a freshman he played in 16 games with four starts recording ten ground balls and four caused turnovers. Over the past two seasons, Goodrow has appeared in all 17 games the Hawks have had, starting in all but one. In that time, he has totaled 17 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers and an assist while playing a critical role as a defender for Roger Williams. His performance last season resulted in him earning a spot on the All-CCC Third Team.
 
Off the mat and the field, Goodrow is an excellent student studying Biology, and he is a two-time member of the Spring Academic All-CCC Team.
