DURHAM, N.H. – The Roger Williams University Wrestling cruised to first place at the Henry Marsh Invitational Sunday, winning the tournament by over 240 points.
Overall, the Hawks won their bracket at four different weight classes, with
Michael Roe-Deters (Woodstock, Ga.) taking first at 125,
Tommy Gallagher (Foxboro, Mass.) winning at 141,
Dante Simeti (Pearl River, N.Y.) earning the top spot at 165, and
Luke Wassel (Walpole, Mass.) clinching first at 174. Earning runner-up finishes in their brackets were
Hunter Rasmussen (Fairfield, Conn.) At 197 and
Spencer Fetrow (Holliston, Mass.) at 285.
The Hawks did their finest work at the 174-pound bracket, with the team sweeping the top six placings.
Hunter Goodrow (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished second to Wassel in the championship match, while third to sixth place were respectively earned by
Jayden Curley (Mansfield, Mass.),
Seth Frohnheiser (Allentown, Pa.),
Anthony Ostrander (Newbury, Mass.), and
Cole Wolkner (Farmington, Conn.).
