WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Roger Williams University wrestling team competed at the Williams Open on Saturday, hosted by the Ephs. A event that saw the Hawks place six in the top five in their respective weight classes.
Christopher Tringali placed second at 133 pounds, battling to the finals, falling by decision, 3-1. The Hawks also saw
Jayden Curley finish in the top three at 174 pounds, before dropping his final match of the day.
Shaun McLaughlin finished fourth at 133 pounds.
Ari Dinerman took a fifth place finish at 125 pounds, while
Spencer Fetrow and
Jack Forte placed fifth at 197 pounds and 157 pounds respectively.
Hunter Rasmussen placed sixth on the day at 285 pounds, with
Ben Dubois completing the feat at 125 pounds.
Jack Forte and
Anthony Ostrander placed sixth in their respective weight classes.
Roger Williams be in action at Johnson & Wales for a pair of duals against WPI and Trinity on Saturday, Jan. 13. The Hawks will then take part in the NEWA Duals Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 21.
