CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Roger Williams University sailing team finished 18th in the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Women's Fleet Racing Finals.
The Hawks compiled 437 points in the regatta, while 17th place George Washington finished with 427 points.
Stanford took home their second straight national title tallying 207 points over 17 races by both Division A and Division B.
After finishing 12 races on day one, the regatta completed five races per division on day two to close out the finals.
Roger Williams finished 17th in Division A after compiling 216 points in the regatta as Lucy Meagher and Caylin Schnoor skippered, with Maggie Fleming and Katy Benagh as crew.
The Hawks picked up a 16th and 13th place finish to begin the day before earning an eighth place finish in their third race of the day. After finishing 18th the Hawks closed out the regatta in 16th in race 17.
In Division B, Katie McGagh and Tavia Smith skippered, with Maren Matthews and Elyssa Franklin as crew.
They finished seventh in their first race of the day before posting three finishes 15th or below. Roger Williams rounded out their day with a second place finish in race 17 to close out the regatta.
Roger Williams will begin competition in the ICSA Open Semifinals beginning on Friday, May 24.
