MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Nathan Tassey (Whitman, Mass.) earned All-American Honors for the second time in the 2023-24 calendar year finishing fourth at the NCAA Division III National Championships hosted at Doug Shaw Stadium.
 
Tassey finished with a time of 14:17.51 finishing fourth in the field, behind Christion Patzka of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Christopher Collet of Wartburg (14:14.73), and Chasen Hunt of Lynchburg, (14:15.51).
 
Tassey opened the race with a 1:43.59 time in the opening 600 meters, finishing 18^th over the stretch. Tassey rebounded with a time of 2:51.05 time through the opening 1000, finishing the first 1,000m in 11 place.
 
Sitting in 14^th after 2,600m Tassey again jumped up five spots at the 3,000m mark, finishing the stretch in 1:10.54. Tassey again improved with a tiem of 1:10.84 over the next 400m, before picking up another two spots finishing with 11:01.92 over the first 3800m.
 
After dropping three spots over the next two laps, Tassey regained the spots with a time of 1:02.18 over the final 400m to retake the three lost spots to close out the race bwi.
 
Tassey closes the season as the first Roger Williams men's track and field All-American in program history, after earning the same honors in men's cross country.
