BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Roger Williams University men's golf team finished sixth at the Bowdoin Invitational on Sunday hosted by the Bears.
Tufts took home the team title shooting a two-day total of 587 (+11), followed by Amherst with a combined score of 591 (+15) and Endicott rounded out the top three hitting 592 (+16) as a team. Roger Williams finished sixth with a 611 (+35).
Ryan Dacey (East Greenwich, R.I.) finished six over par with a Sunday total of 76 (+4), completing his round with a 150 (+6). Sammy Johnson (West Springfield, Mass.) had 151 (+7) for a two-day total after hitting a 77 (+5) on Saturday, Johnson followed with a 74 (+2).
Josh Peterson (Goffstown, N.H.) completed the second day of competition hitting a 75 (+3) while combining with his first day 81 (+9) for a 156 (+12) two-day total, while Will Lafrance (Westport, Mass.) tied him over the two days shooting a 77 (+5) on day two.
Cal Tryder (Wakefield, Mass.) finished the weekend with a 157 (+13) shooting a 78 (+6) for his second tournament round.
Roger Williams will be back in competition on Saturday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Skidmore Invitational.
