WINDSOR, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Women's Golf team will compete in their first Conference of New England (CNE) Championship beginning on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Keney Park Golf Course in Windsor, Conn.
Leading the Hawks squad is McKenna Marcoux (Bethel, Conn.), who has consistently led the Hawks so far this year. Marcoux was the top finisher for the Hawks at the Battle at Bull's Bridge hosted by Hartford on Tuesday, Oct. 7, finishing with a 108 (+38), carding a Birdie on the 18th hole of the round.
Joining Marcoux on the course is Lindsey Kotsopoulos (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who was the second finisher for the Hawks at the Battle at Bull's Bridge, finishing with a 118 (+49).
Rounding out the rest of the Hawks is Grace Tarro (Barrington, R.I.), Emily Soter (Spencer, Mass.), and Mazie Collins (Lake George, N.Y.).
Five teams will take the course this weekend, vying for the title, with Gordon, Nichols, Suffolk, Hartford, and University of New England rounding out the field.
The CNE will host its first ever women's golf two-day championship event. Roger Williams is scheduled to take the course on Saturday as they hunt for their first conference title.
