Women’s Golf: Hawks Sit 10th After Opening Day of NEIGA Championship

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Golf team sits 10th in the field after the opening day of competition at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships.

The Hawks shot 477 (+189) while Bates finished with 319 (+35) to lead the field. Hartford, 345 (+57), and Nichols, 363 (+75), rounded out the top three.

McKenna Marcoux (Bethel, Conn.) led the Hawks, shooting a 101 (+29) while carding a birdie. Lindsey Kotsopoulos (Shrewsbury, Mass.) shot a 107 (+35), finishing tied for 26th after a par on 18. Grace Tarro (Barrington, R.I.) 120 (+48) and Emily Soter (Spencer, Mass.) 149 (+77) rounded out the field for RWU.

The Hawks will retake the course on Sunday, Oct. 19 to finish the tournament.
