NORFOLK, Va. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team saw Connor McHugh (Annandale, N.J.) compete over the weekend at the Glen S. Foster Trophy for the Open Singlehanded National Championship.

McHugh finished 14^th with a total of 83 points, while Robby Meek tallied 10 points to take the National Title for Harvard. Tulane's Hamilton Barclay and Thomas Stizmann finished second and third, respectively, with 34 and 40 points.

McHugh opened the weekend with a sixth-place finish in the opening race, ahead of placing 10^th to compile 16 points through the two races. McHugh then finished sixth and 14^th respectively in the next two races, sitting at 36 points overall, before rounding out the regatta with a 13^th, 16^th, and 18^th place finish.

Roger Williams will see one more weekend of competition as they compete at the ICSA Open Match Racing National Championships.
