Wrestling: Hawks Selected for NEWA Dual Championship, See Four Individuals Ranked

BRISTOL, R.I. – The New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) announced its third set of conference rankings for the 2025-26 season, ranking four Hawks in their respective weight classes, while ranking the Hawks 11th in the Team Tournament Rankings.

Landing individual recognition was Tyrell Newmann (Cranston, R.I.), who has posted a 16-5 record to start the year, and Joshua Nieroda (West Suffield, Conn.), who has tallied a 9-5 record each sit eighth, while Jack Forte (Westbury, N.Y.) and Jayden Toppan (Gloucester, Mass.) sit sixth in their weight classes, at 14-3 and 9-5, respectively.

The Hawks also were selected for the NEWA Dual Championships, joining a 16-team field, consisting of Bridgewater State, Vermont State – Castleton, Coast Guard, Emmanuel, New England College, Southern Maine, Springfield, Trinity, Wesleyan, Western New England, Williams, and WPI.
