BRISTOL, R.I. – Two members of Roger Williams Rugby team competed in the National Collegiate Rugby All-Star Tournament in Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, Georgia back in January.
Danielle Vogt and
Bianca Caprio served as members of the Rugby Northeast All-Star Team, with
Bianca Caprio being named team captain of the squad.
In the All-Star matchup, both women were contributors, with Vogt recording two tries in the matchup. Caprio contributed four tries, converting two of them. Both Vogt and Caprio also led the way on offense and defense, serving as vocal leaders for the all-star unit.
In addition to the All-Star selection, Vogt was named All-American for the center position, joining
Zoey Cormican who earned the selection for her play in the back row position. This will be Vogt's second year in a row earning All-American status, with Cormican earning her second bid as well, with her first coming two seasons ago.
