NEW LONGDON, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Sailing team took the top spot at the Southern New England Team Race over the weekend, edging out Boston College in a tiebreaker for the top spot.
The Hawks posted a 10-4 record on the weekend, with Boston College also registering a 10-4 record, falling in tiebreakers. Tulane rounded out the top three finishing 9-5, with a tiebreaker placing Bowdoin at fourth. The University of Rhode Island and Tufts rounded out the top six.

In round one, the Hawks went 7-2 with their two losses coming to Tulane and Bowdoin, while edging out Boston College with a 1-2-5 finish. In the second round robin, the Hawks went 3-2 after defeating Tufts Boston College and Tulane, the Hawks fell to Bowdoin and Rhode Island. To secure the tiebreaker over the Eagles.
