NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Roger Williams University women's sailing team finished in 10th place at the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship, posting a 7-7 overall record.
RWU opened day two of competition in round one against Stanford, dropping the race (3-4-6). The Hawks then took a 1-2-4 win over University of Michigan, before dropping to Brown (1-4-6).
Roger Williams dropped to the College of Charleston (1-5-6), before defeated Yale (1-4-5) to round out their day of competition as the Hawks did not advance to round two.
The Hawks' lineup featured Lucy Meagher, Maren Matthews, and Tavia Smith as skippers, paired with Maggie Fleming, Katie McGagh, and Lexi Chigas, with additional depth provided by Elyssa Franklin, Mackenzie Speece, and Addy Fisher throughout the rotation.
