BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team placed tied for 12^th after the final round at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore at Ballston Spa Country Club.
 
As a team, the Hawks shot 598 (+30) through two days, 304 on day one (+20) and 294 (+10) on day two. Amherst took the team title, shooting 556 (-12), 280 (-4), and 276 (-8) on rounds one and two, respectively. New York University's Jomyuth Luangtana-Anan was the individual champion shooting a 69 (-2) and 65 (-6) tallying 134 (-8) for the tournament.
 
Will Lafrance was the top scorer for the Hawks over the weekend. On day one, Lafrance carded a 73 (+2) on his round, bringing in a 38 (+3) on the front nine he rebounded for a 35 (-1) on the back half of the opening round. Lafracne then carded six birdies on his day two round, finishing with a 69 (-2) on the round.
 
Ryan Dacey then finished with a 146 (+4) for the tournament finishing tied for 24^th overall. Dacey played the course to even par on the opening round, carding three birdies and three bogeys. In round two Dacey took the turn with an even scorecard, but four bogeys on the back nine plagued the round as he finished his second round with the 75 (+4).
 
Sammy Johnson finished with a two-day score of 155 (+13). Johnson carded a 79 (+8) and a 76 (+5) on day two of the tournament. Josh Peterson hit a 156 (+14) on the weekend going 82 (+11) and 74 (+3) on days one and two. Chris Locke rounded out scoring for the Hawks in the tournament hitting an 81 (+10) on both days of the tournament finishing with a 162 (+20).
 
Roger Williams will next compete at the Valley Country Club, in a tournament hosted by Rhode Island College.
