BALTIC, Conn. - The Roger Williams University Men's Golf team finished third on Monday at the Eastern Connecticut State University Men's Spring Golf Invitational at the Mohegan Sun Country Club.
The Hawks shot a 319 as a team on the par 71 course, playing 6,690 yards, just three strokes behind host Eastern Connecticut (316) and 15 strokes back from the tournament champion Western New England University, which led the field with a 304.
Brady Sullivan shot a 78 (+7) the highest score for an RWU golfer, independent or team.** Will Lafrance** led the scorers shooting a 79 (+8), along with Dante Harte who did the same Joel Collins shot an 80 (+9) for the round, while Will Reece rounded out the top four by shooting an 81 (+10).Â
Chris Locke was the fifth RWU team golfer, shooting an 84 (+13) for the round.
The Hawks will be at the NCAA Division III National Championships next time out on Tuesday, May 20, through Friday, May 23.Â
