BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Wrestling team is set to hit the mats for the 2025-26 season, beginning on Saturday, Oct. 18, in their season-opening exhibitions, with the Frank Antonawich Intersquad Duals at 7:00 pm in the Campus Recreation Center.
The Hawks will compete in a full slate of tournaments and duals, including four home dates during the regular season. After the season-opening intrasquad, Roger Williams will head to King's College for the Monarch Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 1, before returning home on Saturday, Nov. 8 to host the Roger Williams Invitational. On Saturday, Nov. 15, RWU will travel to Williamstown, Mass. to face Bridgeport, Utica, and Williams, followed by a trip to WPI on Saturday, Nov. 22 to square off with Norwich, Emmanuel, and St. John Fisher.
December opens with a visit to Western New England on Saturday, Dec. 6, where the Hawks will wrestle against WNE and Hunter. RWU then heads to Springfield College on Friday, Dec. 12, before closing the semester at home with the Scott Viera Open on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The new year begins with a home tri-match on Saturday, Jan. 3 against King's and New England College. Roger Williams will then compete at the North/South Duals hosted by Ursinus on Saturday, Jan. 10, before traveling to Trinity on Saturday, Jan. 17 to wrestle WPI and Trinity. The Hawks will remain on the road the following weekend for the Wildcat Open at Johnson & Wales on Saturday, Jan. 24, and the New England Duals at JWU on Sunday, Jan. 25. RWU will return home Saturday, Jan. 31 for a tri-meet against Plymouth State, Maine Maritime, and Bridgewater State.
February features a pair of key duals, beginning with Rhode Island College on Friday, Feb. 6, followed by a home matchup with Johnson & Wales on Friday, Feb. 13. The Hawks will then travel to Western New England on Sunday, Feb. 22 for the Futures Tournament to wrap up the regular season.
Roger Williams enters postseason competition with the Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1, before aiming to qualify athletes for the NCAA Division III Championships, set for Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.
