MEDFORD, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's and Women's Track & Field team saw the multis take center stage as they opened the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Friday afternoon.
In the Men's Heptathlon, the Hawks saw Justin Dickson (Londonderry, N.H.) finish the opening four events in second with 2,625 points, 250 points below Caleb Smith of Middlebury. Dickson opened with the 60m, where he finished in eighth with a 7.42. After the long jump, Dickson leaped to a 6.28m jump, moving up to sixth. The Hawks' multi then threw a 11.79m throw in the shot put before the high jump saw Dickson finish with a 1.82m jump.
On the women's side, Peyton Sullivan (Weymouth, Mass.) sits with 2,212 points, landing 15th. Sullivan finished the five events after opening iwht an 11.20 60m hurdles. Sullivan then had a high jump of 1.34m, before throwing the shto put 7.85m. The Hawks' then saw Sullivan post a long jump of 4.53m before running the 800 m in 2:53.01.
The Hawks will return to action on Saturday at the Cupid Challenge.
