BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team have four Hawks representing them in the postseason, who will head to the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) Region 1 Zone 1 Finals at Hunter Ridge Equestrian on Sunday, Mar. 22.
Annika Ormsby (Devens, Mass.) qualified for the Novice Equitation on the Flat. Ormsby qualified in the Hawks' first show of the season in October, finishing first at their co-hosted home show with Salve Regina.
Emma Gaeckle (Southampton, N.Y.) will represent the Hawks on the Limit Equitation on the Flat. Gaeckle qualified at a show hosted by URI in November, finishing fourth in section B.
Alexandra Macdonald (Norwood, Mass.) qualified in both the Intermediate Equitation on the Flat and the Intermediate Equitation over Fences. She qualified for Equitation on the Flat at a show hosted by JWU back in November. For Intermediate Equitation over Fences, Macdonald qualified at a competition in March hosted by JWU and finishing in first place in section B.
Representing the Hawks in the Limit Equitation over Fences is Lindsey Savoie (Tolland, Conn.). Savoie qualified back in November, finishing sixth in section C at a show hosted by URI.
