BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced its weekly awards for the week ending on Sunday, Apr. 19, naming Roger Williams University's Shane Hughes as the league's Men's Track Rookie of the Week, in the sport of Track & Field.
 
Ran in two races on the weekend as the Hawks competed at the Sean Collier Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Hughes competed in the 110 hurdles, running the event for the first time with a 17.32 finish, placing 21^st in the competitive field. Hughes finished his second event, the 400 hurdles, in 18^th, finishing with a time of 1:03.31.
 
Roger Williams is set to compete on Friday, Apr. 25, and Saturday, Apr. 26 at the CNE Championship.
