Men’s Tennis with a win in three matches on Spring Break trip

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams Men's Tennis team are off to a 1-2 start on the Spring Break trip to Florida, getting a 6-3 win versus Illinois-Wesleyan University.

 

On Monday, the Hawks were defeated by Grinnell College by an 8-1 score. David Lange (Great Neck, N.Y.) picked up the lone win for the Hawks on the day at #3 singles.

 

Earlier today, the Hawks got four three-set wins in singles play, as Brad Bolte (Augusta, N.J.), Ryan Kim (Port Jefferson, N.Y.), Spencer Withington (Plymouth, Mass.), and Jeff DeNunzio picked up victories to push RWU to its first win on the trip.

 

Later on in the day, the Hawks fell 1-8 to Webber International College, with Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) getting the single victory for RWU.

 

The Hawks will be off Wednesday and will play Stetson University Thursday.
