Bristol, R.I. – The Roger Williams Men's Swimming and Diving team came in first place with 242 points on a Saturday morning as they took down Regis, UMass Dartmouth, Clark, University of New England, Western New England, and Gordon.
For RWU,
Hunter Olson (Framingham, Mass.) came in first place for four events including the 100-Yard Butterfly (54.61) and the 100-Yard Freestyle. The senior was also a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay that touched the wall with a time of 3:20.20 and the 200-Yard Medley Relay that finished with a time of 1:39.82 respectively.
Sophomore
Hunter Wronski (Shelton, Conn.) came away with three wins in the pool, taking the victories in the 100-yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.86 and also a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard Medley Relay.
Also winning three events for the Hawks was freshman
Lucas Stencel (Warwick, R.I.). Stencel was victorious in the 100-Yard Backstroke finishing with a time of 53.74. He was also a member of the two winning relay races mentioned above.
Christian Montanez (North Chili, N.Y.) helped the Hawks win two relay races, the 200-Yard Medley Relay and the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay finishing with a time of 1:32.03 respectively.
Michael Sannicandro (Acton, Mass.),
Joe Charpentier (Pawtucket, R.I.), and
Eamon McKenney (Portsmouth, R.I.) all contributed to the Hawk's success finishing in first for the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay.
