HAMPTON, Va. – The Roger Williams University Swimming team continued their New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) competition on Saturday, and now sit seventh with 352.5 points.
The College of New Jersey leads the way with 1188 points, with Salisbury and Merchant Marine following in second and third.
In the 400 IM, Alex Weisenbacher finished the race in 11th overall, finishing in 4:04.48, after swimming his butterfly in an opening split of 57.61, as he dropped 2.61 seconds off his seeded time. Evan Wysor finished in 4:13.83, as he cut 0.14 off his seed time.
In the 100 yard butterfly, the Hawks saw Drew Hebert finish in 51.60, cutting just under half a second off his seeded time, while first-year James Augustin finished the 200 yard freestyle in 1:41.23, 0.22 off the school record held by Bodie Ibrahim. The 100 yard breastroke saw Cam Hogg finish as the top swimmer for the Hawks in 56.92 with Luke Austin finishing in 57.92.
In the 100-yard backstroke, the Hawks saw Thomas Brown finish his race in 51.26 and Carter Brown earn a time of 53.57.
The Hawks will close out their NJAC Championship on Sunday.
