PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced their men's swimming and diving All-Conference teams on Wednesday, recognizing
James Augustin (Massapequa, N.Y.) of Roger Williams University in their recognition.
The major awards were highlighted by The College of New Jersey's (TCNJ) MJ Hoban, who was the league's Swimmer of the Year and Carter Kov, from Merchant Marine, who was recognized as the NJAC Diver of the Year. Salsbury's Cameron Byrd took Rookie of the Year honors, while TCNJ's coaching staff was recognized as the Staff of the Year.
For the All-Conference team, the league's teams were decided by the finish in events at this year;s NJAC Swimming & Diving Championship meet.
In the 50 Freestyle, Augustin placed second with a time of 20.50 in the finals. His preliminary time of 20.45 in the preliminary heat was his best time in the event. Augustin also earned Honorable Mention recognition in the 100 Freestyle, placing third in the finals with a 45.10. Augustin also swam a personal best 100 freestyle in the prelims, with a 44.95.
The Hawks finished the NJAC Championships in sixth place this season.
