SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Women's Swimming & Diving Team lost to both Springfield College and Wesleyan University on a Saturday afternoon.
 
To start the day, Callie Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.), Kenzie Sweeney (Groton, Mass.), Casey Klein (Newtown, Conn.), and Ellie Field (Adams, Mass.)  grabbed fourth place in the 200 Yard Relay at 1:57.04. Field also secured second place in the 50 Yard Freestyle for the Hawks with a time of 25.61.
 
In the 1000 Yard Freestyle, Roger Williams' Allegra Iacovino (Chester Springs, Pa.) claimed third place with 11:19.59 and Fiona Joyce (Fairfield, Conn.) closely followed in fourth with a time of 11:40.81. In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Allison Surian (Burlington, Conn.) placed fourth at 1:03.44.
 
In the 200 Yard Backstroke, Gabrielle Pielka (Mahwah, N.J.) claimed second place at 2:13.44. Surian placed fourth in this event at 2:17.21. Pielka also placed fourth in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:05.09.
 
Two Hawks came in third place in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Sweeney and Catherine Oppenheim (Sudbury, Mass.) tied with the time of 1:11.98.  Sweeney also grabbed fourth place in the 200 Yard Breaststoke at 2:38.81.
 
In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Iacovino claimed third place with a time of 5:39.42.
 
The Hawks will head to Willimantic Connecticut next Saturday to face Babson College and Eastern Connecticut State at 1 p.m.
