WORCESTER, MASS.—The Roger Williams Men's Swimming & Diving team competed in the WPI Sprint Invitational on a Saturday afternoon.
Eamon McKenney (Portsmouth, R.I.) had quite the day in the pool coming in first in the 50 Yard Backstroke (24.76) and finished fourth in the 25 Yard Backstroke (11.80).
Andrew Reagan (Middletown, Conn.) finished in the top ten for three of his individual events including the 100 Yard IM (7
th-55.40), the 200 Yard IM (5
th-2:02.49), and the 400 Yard IM (1
st-4:23.36).
Hawks'
Hunter Olson (Framingham, Mass.) finished fourth in the 25 Yard Freestyle with a time of 10.34, third in the 50 Yard Butterfly (23.67), and sixth in the 25 Yard Backstroke (12.03).
Gabe Pasqualucci (Southbury, Conn.) and
John Babuka (Richmond, Ky.) were runner ups in their individual events such as the 25 Yard Butterfly (10.88) and the 25 Yard Breaststroke (12.51).
Andy Paul (Sunderland, Mass.),
Liam Connors (Brookfield, Conn.),
David Anderson (Corry, Pa.),
David Corio (North Smithfield, R.I.), and
Peter Gallagher (Bethel, Conn.) all finished in the top ten in their individual events as well.
Coming in third place for the 200 Yard Medley Relay, the 100 Yard Freestyle Relay, and the 100 Yard Medley Relay was Mckenney, Babuka, and Olson. Pasqualucci was a member of the 200 Yard Medley Relay, and Mike Sannicandro (Acton, Mass.) was a member of the 100 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Matt Babinski (Westport, Conn.) assisted in the placing of the 100 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Lastly, in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Pasqualucci, McKenney,
Christian Montanez (North Chili, N.Y.) and Anderson came in sixth place with a time of 1:29.74.
The Hawks will be getting ready for the NEISDA Championships on February 21
st at 9:00 a.m.
