Women's Swimming & Diving Takes Home the NEISDA Championships

KINGSTON, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Swimming & Diving team was named NEISDA champions over the weekend. The Hawks placed first out of 21 teams and it has been since 2017 that they won their last title.

Hawk Highlights
Ellie Field (Adams, Mass.), Sandy Remson (Norwalk, Conn.), Allison Surian (Burlington, Conn.), and Kenzie Sweeney (Groton, Mass.) all placed first in events.

Coach Matt Emmert stated," We're so proud of this team and the commitment to our goals and the sacrifices they've made to achieve them. With seven sessions, this meet can be a mental and physical grind.

We started off with great momentum Thursday and Friday. Then weathered the storm with Saturday nights finals, as it was not our best performance. The team showed their resilience with some amazing swims on Sunday morning and brought their best all-around team performance Sunday night to close out the win!

Winning championships is great, but we're most proud of the life skills our student-athletes developed and the lessons they learned along the way. These are invaluable traits of our program and we're so proud of the work our team members put in to make our program a success."
