HOPKINTON, R.I. – Competing in their first show since March of 2020, the Roger Williams University Equestrian team finished in second place Saturday afternoon at the Regional Show.
Sarah Baker (Boylston, Mass.) and
Carisa Brogdon (Nassau, Bahamas) logged the two wins on the day for the Hawks, with Baker taking first in Intermediate Over Fences and Brogdon winning at Limit Flat. Baker would also finish fifth in Intermediate Flat while Brogdon was fifth in Limit Fences.
Chloe Noyes (Manchester, N.H.) came away with a pair of runner-up finishes in the Open Division, taking second in Open Over Fences and Open Flat.
At Pre-Novice
Gwen Sieber (Woodbury, Conn.) came in second place while
Michelle Kryl (Westhampton Beach, N.Y.) took third. Also earning a third-place result was
Leah Petricca (Pittsfield, Mass.) at Intermediate Over Fences.
Closing out the Hawks' day with fourth place finishes in their respective divisions were
Gen Loring (Hopkinton, Mass.) in Open Flat,
Sophie Failla (Boca Raton, Fla.) in her Novice Flat,
Arden Hyte (Marblehead, Mass.) in Introductory Flat.
