BIDDEFORD, MAINE - Ryan Shea (Andover, Mass.) of the Roger Williams University Men's Cross Country team was honored as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the championship week of October 24^th through October 30^th, it was announced by the conference offices on Monday. 
 
This marks the third consecutive week that Shea has earned the recognition, as he also was honored for the weeks of October 4^th through October 10^th and October 11^th through October 17^th. He also was awarded CCC Runner of the Week during the week of October 4^th through October 10^th.
 
Shea was phenomenal at the CCC Championship race for the Hawks on Saturday, placing third individually with an 8K time of 27:12. In addition, he was a vital part of the men's cross country team who won the championship for the first time since 2014. His performance helped the Hawks secure a team score of 35 and blow out the other CCC teams by 20 points to take home the trophy.
