GALES FERRY, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian wrapped up the fall season this past weekend at the University of Rhode Island Show, where the Hawks placed second for the third consecutive weekend.
Four riders earned wins for the Hawks on the day, including
Chloe Noyes (Manchester, N.H.) at Open Over Fences,
Sarah Baker (Boylston, Mass.),
Carisa Brogdon (Nassau, Bahamas) at Limit Flat, and
Madelyn Weir (Cranston, R.I.) at Novice Flat.
Isabel August (Manchester, Conn.) finished in second place at Novice Flat, while
Carly Webber (West Suffield, Conn.) and
Gwen Sieber (Woodbury, Conn.) took second at Pre-Novice.
Gen Loring (Hopkinton, Mass.) had a pair of third-place showings at Open Flat and Intermediate Over Fences, while
Arden Hyte (Marblehead, Mass.) was third at Introductory.
Baker and Noyes both competed at Open Flat, with Baker finishing fourth and Noyes taking fifth. Also finishing fifth in their respective divisions were
Leah Petricca (Pittsfield, Mass.) at Intermediate Over Fences and
Sophie Failla (Boca Raton, Fla.) at Limit Flat. Petricca was also sixth at Intermediate Flat and Failla place sixth as well at Limit Over Fences.
Wrapping up RWU's showing were
Leanne Flink (Newbury, Mass.) and
Alicia Vincelli (Dallas, Pa.), who respectively took sixth at Novice Flat and Pre-Novice.
