MANHATTAN, N.Y. – The Roger Williams University Men's Swimming & Diving team sent
Matt DelGrego (Rochester, N.Y.),
Bodie Ibrahim (Sunnyside, N.Y.),
Seth Sutton (Dunfries, Va.), and
Riley Williams (Arvada, Colo.) to swim at the NYU Invitational, at the Palladium Natatorium in Manhattan, New York over the weekend. Williams swam a program-best time in the 400 Individual Medley, an event where he swam an NCAA B-cut time in earlier this season, and in the process, he likely secured a spot at nationals.
No team scores were kept at the event, but Williams topped not only the 400 IM, but also the 100-Yard Breaststroke, breaking the program record in that event as well.
Sutton took the top spot in the 100 Fly for the Hawks, followed just .04 seconds later by Ibrahim who set the program record with another runner-up time in the 200 Free. All four swimmers in attendance also swam the 200 Medley Relay, taking the top spot in that event.
