MANHATTAN, N.Y. – The Roger Williams University Women's Swimming & Diving team sent
Ellie Field (Adams, Mass.) and
Noelle Schneider (Plymouth, Mass.) to compete at the NYU Invitational at the Palladium Natatorium in Manhattan, New York over the weekend. Schneider finished with an NCAA B-cut time in the 100-Yard Butterfly event while Field did the same in the 100 Freestyle.
No team scores were kept at the event, but Field took the top spots in both the 50 and 100 Free, breaking her own program record in the latter event and has the chance to make the national championship meet depending on national ranking.
Schneider's time of 56.42 in the 100 Fly was also good for first and puts her on the cusp of being able to compete at nationals depending on where it ranks nationally.
