WORCESTER, MASS. - The Roger Williams University Women's Swimming team traveled to Worcester, Mass. to face off against WPI and Ithaca in a double-dual meet on Sunday, Oct 27th.
 
In the individual events this meet, Gabby Carr (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) swam for the Hawks in the 50-yard freestyle event, placing 1st with a time of 25.11. Carr also swam for the Hawks in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events, placing 1st and 2nd respectively with times of 55.00 and 2:00.35.
 
In the 500-yard freestyle event, Alexis Gentile (Wayne, N.J.) swam for the Hawks placing in 9th with a time of 5:39.60. In the 1000-yard freestyle, Ella Rothberg (Fairfield, Conn.) competed for the Hawks earning a 6th place spot with a time of 12:13.08.
 
In the backstroke events, the Hawks' Kate Wieler (Bourne, Mass.) swam to a 3rd place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.54. Wieler also competed in the 200-yard backstroke earning the 1st place spot with a time of 2:10.72. Wieler also swam to another 1st place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing with a time of 2:15.67.
 
Isabella Kuzbek (Manitou Springs, Colo.) swam for the Hawks in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events, placing 1st in both events with times of 1:08.57 and 2:30.27, respectively.
 
Noelle Schneider (Plymouth, Mass.) competed for the Hawks in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly events, placing 1st in both events with times of 57.66 and 2:13.04, respectively.
 
As for the relay events this meet, the Hawks' Wieler, Kuzbek, Schneider, and Carr swam in the 400-yard Medley, earning a 3rd place finish with a time of 4:05.53. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Claire Dombrofski (West Hartford, Conn.), Avery Benigni (Meriden, Conn.), Schneider, and Maggie Carroll (Albany, N.Y.), swam to a 2nd place finish with a tie of 1:41.51.

The Roger Williams Women's Swimming team will travel to face both Coast Guard and Kean on Saturday, Nov 9th in New London, Conn. Before they will return home to host the Fisher Invitational on Saturday, Nov 23rd at 10:00 AM.
