SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Roger Williams University women's cross country team placed second at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championships on Saturday, their best finish since the 2019 season.
Suffolk earned their fourth straight conference title, while Rachel Brennan earned her fourth straight individual title. Suffolk took the top spot, tallying 37 points, while RWU finished second with 67 total points on the day. University of New England rounded out the top three with 74 points.
Caitlin Boufford (Londonderry, N.H.) finished sixth overall with a personal best 22:33.38 on the day, while
Brittany Martin (Potsdam, N.Y.) also set her personal best with a 22:53.64 time. Rounding out the All-Conference selections for the Hawks was
Katie Flaherty (West Hartford, Conn.) who placed 14
th in the field to earn an All-Conference time of 23:30.66.
Carolyn Narahara (Reading, Mass.) also set a personal best, scoring 18 points for the Hawks, with a 24:13.50, setting a PR by just under 40 seconds.
Olivia O'Neill (Westwood, Mass.) had a time of 24:16.14, rounding out scoring for the Hawks, with a personal best by 0.66.
Natalie Forno (Middletown, Conn.) and
Tabitha Didonato (Cherry Hill, N.J.) finished sixth and seventh respectively, while Forno set a personal best with a time of 24:31.14 finishing 23
rd, and Didonato finished 25
th with a time of 24:38.79.
Roger Williams also saw personal bests from
Grace Baldwin (Braintree, Mass.),
Gabby Sitzer (Slingerlands, N.Y.),
Alyssa LaValley (Epsom, N.H.), and
Bree Killion (Rochester, Mass.)

Roger Williams will now turn their attention to the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 16 in New London, Conn.
