PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Roger Williams Men's Swimming team traveled to Providence College for the Friar Invitational on Saturday afternoon. While no team results were compiled, the Hawks used the meet to tune up for the coming season.

In the 400 SC Meter Medley Relay, The Hawks' Carter Brown (Lake Ridge, Va.), Luke Austin (Essex Junction, Vt.), Drew Hebert (Melrose, Mass.), and James Augustin (Massapequa, N.Y.) finished fourth with a time of 4:06.46.

In the 800 SC Meter Freestyle, Alex Weisenbacher (Beacon Falls, Conn.) finished the highest out of the RWU participants in 9:14.97.

In the 200 SC Meter Freestyle, Dylan Gourlay (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) was the top Hawks finisher with a time of 2:06.89. Gourlay was back in the pool for the 400 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing with a time of 4:29.31.

In the 100 SC Meter Backstroke, Thomas Brown (Katonah, N.Y.) swam for the Hawks, finishing with a time of 1:03.94, putting him fifth for the race. Brown swam again for the Hawks in the 200 SC Meter Backstroke, finishing third with a time of 2:16.80. Back in the pool for the 100 SC Meter Butterfly, Brown finished sixth with a time of 1:01.83.

In the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke, the Hawks' Austin was back in the pool and claimed second with a time of 1:08.47. Austin swam again for the 200 SC Meter Breaststroke and finished third with a time of 2:34.47. For the 200 SC Meter IM, Austin swam again and finished with a time of 2:19.08.

For the 200 SC Meter Butterfly, Hebert swam again for the Hawks and finished with a time of 2:21.70.

In the 50 SC Meter Freestyle, Augustin was back in the pool and took third with a time of 24.60. Augustin swam again in the 100 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing fifth with a time of 55.79.

In the 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, Roger took fourth with the team of Conor Poetsch (Randolph, N.J.), James Guilmette (Johnston, R.I.), Augustin, and Evan Wysor (North Kingston, R.I.) finishing with a time of 3:46.17.
 
The Hawks will host Babson on Saturday, Oct 18th at 10:30am.
