Sailing: RWU Places Seventh at Open Atantic Coast Chamipnship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Roger Williams University Sailing team wrapped up a seventh-place finish at the 2025 Open Atlantic Coast Championship Finals, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy on the Severn River this past weekend.

Roger Williams' Division A duo of Carlos Bermudez de Castro (La Coruña, Spain) and Jed Lory (Severna Park, Md.) posted consistent scores across 14 races to total 101 points, including one first place finish and seven top three placements, while the Division B group of Oliver Stokke (Santa Barbara, Calif.)  and Carter Sheehan (Middletown, R.I.) added 133 points with four top five finishes, bringing the Hawks' overall total to 234.

Harvard University claimed the championship title with 135 total points, followed by Stanford (152) and Tulane (178) to round out the top three.

Roger Williams will next compete on Saturday, Oct. 25 in their final week of the regular season this fall.
