Sailing: Three Hawks Earn All-American Honors

BRISTOL, R.I. — Roger Williams University Sailing had three student-athletes recognized among the nation's best as the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) announced its 2026 All-America Teams.

Senior skipper Carlos Bermudez de Castro (La Coruña, Spain) earned Open All-America honors, while Addy Fisher (Charleston, S.C.) was named a Crew All-American and Jed Lory (Severna Park, Md.) garnered Crew Honorable Mention All-America recognition. The trio helped lead the Hawks to another successful season that included multiple appearances on the national stage.

The ICSA All-America Teams recognize the nation's top collegiate sailors based on their performances throughout the season, including conference and national championship competition.

Bermudez de Castro earned Open All-America status following one of the most accomplished seasons by a skipper in the country. He guided Roger Williams at the NEISA Open Fleet Race Championship, winning the A Division and helping the Hawks secure a third place finish in a competitive NEISA. The senior also skippered Roger Williams to a third-place finish at the ICSA Open Team Race National Championship and posted top-three finishes at the Graham Hall Team Race, St. Mary's Team Race Inter-Conference, Liam O'Keefe '26 Trophy Team Race, Friis Trophy, Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race, NEISA Match Race Championship, Pine Trophy, Open Atlantic Coast Championship, and the Schell Trophy.

Fisher received Crew All-America recognition after serving as one of the nation's premier crews throughout the 2025-26 campaign. Sailing alongside Bermudez de Castro of the Hawks' top skippers, she helped Roger Williams capture a third-place finish at the ICSA Open Team Race National Championship and NEISA Fleet Racing Championship, while taking first in Division A. Fisher also helped the women's squad qualify for the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship, recording a fifth-place finish in the B Division at the Women's Eastern National Semifinal. Throughout the season, she contributed to top-three finishes at the Graham Hall Team Race, St. Mary's Team Race Inter-Conference, Liam O'Keefe '26 Trophy Team Race, Friis Trophy, Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race, Pine Trophy, NEISA Match Race Championship, and Schell Trophy while competing against many of the nation's top programs.

Lory added Crew Honorable Mention All-America accolades after, being a key contributor throughout both the fall and spring schedules, he helped Roger Williams claim the top spot in Division A in the NEISA Fleet Racing Championship and place third at the ICSA Open Team Race National Championship. Lory also recorded top-three finishes at the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1A, Harry Anderson Trophy, Schell Trophy, Graham Hall Team Race, St. Mary's Team Race Inter-Conference, Liam O'Keefe '26 Trophy Team Race, Friis Trophy, and Lynn Marchiando Trophy Team Race. He finished sixth in the B Division at the Open Eastern National Semifinal and represented Roger Williams at the ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship.
