BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced their Weekly Awards for the week ending on October 5, awarding Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Megan Bache (Westbrook, Conn.) as the league's Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Pecora went 6-0 throughout all of her matches throughout the week. Pecora posted a 3-0 record in Singles action, earning all wins at No. 2 singles. After a 6-2, 6-1 win at Hartford, Pecora improved to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Salve Regina's Stephanie Davis, ahead of rounding out the week at UNE with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. In doubles play, Pecora combined with Ella Mancini (Middlebury, Conn.) to win matches by scores of 6-0, 6-4, and 6-1.

Bache went 3-0 in singles play on the week, while going 2-1 in her matches at No. 1 doubles. Bache earned a win at Hartford, 6-0, 6-0, with a 6-3, 6-2 win at Salve Regina. Bache rounded out singles play with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Sofia Salcedo Ladaga against UNE.

Bache's doubles scores were 6-1, 6-4 against Hartford and Salve Regina in wins, while falling to UNE 6-4.

Roger Williams (10-0, 5-0 CNE) will take part in the Newport Grass Court Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 12:00 pm, ahead of facing Endicott on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 4:00 pm in CNE action.
