NORTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Swimming team finished first out of four as they round our day two at the Chris Fisher Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College.
Evan Wysor (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished first in the 1650-yard Freestyle with a time of 16:40.54. Right behind Wysor,
Alex Weisenbacher (Beacon Falls, Conn.) finished second with a time of 16:40.58.
The Hawks sent
Carter Brown (Lake Ridge, Va.),
Luke Austin (Essex Junction, Vt.),
James Augustin (Massapequa, N.Y.), and
James Guilmette (Johnston, R.I.) to compete in the 200-yard Medley Relay. The team finished third overall with a time of 1:34.27.
Augustin was back in the pool for the 200-yard Freestyle, finishing fourth with a time of 1:44.32, followed by
Dylan Gourlay (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) finishing fifth. Augustin swam again in the 50-yard Freestyle and placed second with a time of 21.25.
Thomas Brown (Katonah, N.Y.) led the Hawks in the 100-yard Backstroke and finished second overall with a time of 52.76.
In the 200-yard Breaststroke, Austin was back in the pool finishing first with a time of 2:06.64, while
Milo Stefanowicz (Point Pleasant, N.J.) finished third with a time of 2:07.00.
Gourlay swam again for the Hawks in 100-yard Butterfly, finishing fifth with a time of 51.84.
Connor Poetsch (Randolph, N.J.), Weisenbacher, Gourlay, and Augustin competed for the Hawks in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. The team finished third with a time of 3:11.96.
Roger Williams will be back in the pool in January as the host WPI for day one of Tech Sprints on Jan. 23 and then head to WPI for day two on Jan. 24.
