Track & Field: Hawks Set to Open Abbreviated Indoor Season on Saturday

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's and Women's Track & Field Team is set to open an abbreviated Indoor Track & Field Schedule beginning on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted by Boston University.
 
The Hawks' full schedule consists of eight total regular-season meets, three indoor and five outdoor, with the Spring slate opening on Saturday, Mar. 21, at the J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic hosted by Wesleyan.
 
The indoor slate will begin on Saturday, with Nathan Tassey (Whitman, Mass.) coming off an All-American, sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championship, running at Boston University. Coming back after break, the Hawks will send the team to the Massasoit Classic, hosted by Springfield College, on Saturday, Jan. 24, before rounding out the indoor slate on Friday, Feb. 20, and Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Triangle Classic, also at Springfield.
 
After the conclusion of the indoor portion of the schedule, the Hawks will then turn their attention to the outdoor portion of the season. After the Swanson Spring Classic, Roger Williams will travel to UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Mar. 28, for the Corsair Classic, before taking part in the two-day Ocean State Cup on Friday, Apr. 3, and Saturday, Apr. 4 at Bryant.
 
The Hawks will take part in the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College and the Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 18, at MIT, as their final tune-ups for the Conference of New England (CNE) Championships at Gordon on Friday, Apr. 24, and Saturday, Apr. 25.
 
Roger Williams will continue their post-season competition at the New England Division III Championship on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2. The Hawks will then send some member to the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza and MIT Final Qualifier taking place on Sunday, May 10, and Monday, May 11, and Saturday, May 16, respectively.
 
The NCAA Division III National Championship will take place on Saturday, May 23, through Tuesday, May 26 in La Crosse, Wis.
