BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Track & Field Team saw
Sam Bielawa and
Aleck Isbester named Field Athlete and Track Rookie of the Year as announced by the Conference of New England (CNE) office.
Bielawa placed first in the triple jump at the CNE Championships posting a career best 14.18m (46' 6.25") in the event, while also finishing in third in the long jump with a 6.50m (21' 4") jump. Bielawa ranked 16
th in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump in the New England region. Bielawa also sits 38
th nationally in the triple jump.
On the track, Isbester finished the CNE Championships in first place in the 110 hurdles, securing a 15.65 time in the event. Isbester's career best time was at the Sean Collier Invitational on Apr. 18-19 when he finished with a 15.39.
